Watching a recap of President Trump addressing the nation’s governors, he told his audience he would have raced into that Florida school – with or without a weapon – while Nikolas Cruz was wielding an automatic weapon and murdering 17 students. Trump also called Scot Peterson, the armed deputy on site, a coward for not entering the fray, not knowing why it went down the way it did. I doubt the President’s flamboyant claims. At age 22, our fearless leader managed to avoid being drafted for the Vietnam Conflict by claiming he had bone spurs, which kept him from running. As a veteran (drafted) and a member of the NRA, I believe our president does not have the courage to go up against the NRA, let alone an enemy in time of war.
