Los Banos Police search for shooting suspect(s)

March 18, 2014

Police are looking for the suspect or suspects who on Monday shot at a home with six people inside, including three small children.

Cmdr. Jason Hedden said the shooting occurred in the 800 block of Vermont Avenue at 7:56 p.m. The house was shot multiple times but no one was injured, police said.

Hedden said there were three children in the home, a 2-year-old, a 7-month-old and a 6-month-old, at the time of the shooting as well as three adults.

Witnesses reported seeing a person wearing a black hooded sweatshirt leaving the area on a bicycle immediately after the shooting, police said.

Hedden said police have not ruled out the possibility that the incident is gang-related.
