Police have two people in custody and are searching for a third in connection with an armed robbery last week.

Officers responded to a business in the 1000 block of Pacheco Boulevard at 10:28 p.m. Jan. 31 after receiving a report of an armed robbery.

Police said two Hispanic males entered the business carrying guns and demanding money.

A witness flagged down an officer and said the suspects fled in a blue vehicle. Police spotted the vehicle leaving the area.

Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the suspects drove away, leading to a pursuit, police said. The pursuit ended in the 700 block of Burlwood Court, where the suspects fled on foot. Officers apprehended two males.

A third suspect, described as wearing a white T-shirt covered by a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and jeans, was not apprehended. He was last seen running west on Burlwood Court.

Willies Coleman, 26, and a 17-year-old were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a crime, armed robbery and possession of a stolen vehicle. Coleman is also being held for a felony warrant. Coleman is being held at the John Lotaracca Correctional Facility in lieu of $250,000 bail. The teenager was taken to Merced County Juvenile Hall.

“Our detectives are looking into the possibility of these individuals’ involvement in other recent robberies,” said Detective Sgt. Ivan Mendez.

On Jan. 25 a similar incident occurred at 10:51 p.m. Police said a business was robbed at gunpoint on the 800 block of West Pacheco Boulevard.
