Los Banos Library happenings

The Los Banos Library is starting a Books to Movies to Books program. The program, which shows film adaptations of popular books to the public for free, is designed to get children into reading. The first film will be "Fantastic Mr. Fox" shown Sept. 7 "Ramona and Beezus," Sept. 14 "Robots," Sept. 21 "Diary of a Wimpy Kid," Sept. 28 "The Chronicles of Narnia," Oct. 5 "Eragon," Oct. 12 "Water for Elephants " and Oct. 19 "Cheaper by the Dozen." All movies will be shown at 11 a.m.

Rotary Club Wee Wigglers storyhour is Thursday at 10 a.m., and César Chávez Committee's Lectura para Niños is Saturday at 10 a.m.

Library hours:

Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.;

Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.;

Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.;

Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.;

Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The library is closed Sunday and Monday.
