Transportation workshop set

The Bus will hold two workshops Tuesday on changes made to the service and future needs.

The Workshops take place at the Los Banos Community Center, 645 Seventh St. at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. For those who are unable to attend either workshop, surveys may be picked up from any fixed route bus driver or you can request a survey by calling (209) 723-3100.

air of jobs workshops on tap

The Salvation Army HOPE Center will be holding job workshops on Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. until noon. The workshop will cover job search applications, resume and interviewing techniques. A workshop on Online job applications is also scheduled for Sep. 3. The Salvation Army is located at 1231 Fourth St. For more information call (209) 827-4945.

Back to School night Tuesday

Pacheco High School will hold its fourth annual Back to School Night Tuesday at 6 p.m. Attendees are asked to meet in the gym. For more information call (209)827-4506.

Swim program offered for adults

The City of Los Banos and the Los Banos Unified School District are now offering an adult lap swim program for anyone over 18 on Sept. 3, at Pacheco High School, 200 Ward Road.

The cost of the program is $20 per month with the proceeds benefitting the Boys Water Polo team at Pacheco High School. The pool will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 7 a.m.

Register at the administration office at Pacheco High School between 8 and 10 a.m. Contact Kim Tipple.

Bay Bridge to close

Plan ahead San Francisco Bay area travelers because Caltrans will be closing San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge throughout Labor Day Weekend. The bridge will shut down from 8 p.m., on Aug. 28 until 5 a.m., on Sept. 3.
