Police: Man caught breaking into business

June 10, 2013

Police have made an arrest in connection with a burglary Monday on Place Road.

Police responded to the 1300 block of Place Road at 3:50 a.m., after a call from the business’s alarm company.

Police said they saw a man with a bandana across his face and wearing gloves running from the building.

Police said a window at the business was broken. The robber also was caught on surveillance cameras attempting to force open a window, police said.

“Having a good alarm and video system is important and can often times make the difference between valuable or irreplaceable property being stolen,” said Cmdr. Ray Reyna Jr. in a news release.

Joseph Dean Baker was arrested on suspicion of attempted commercial burglary and booked into the Los Banos Jail in lieu of $30,000 bail.
