An auto accident in a residential neighborhood sent two people to the hospital Wednesday, police said.

At 5:14 p.m. a black Honda Civic driven by Elias Rodriquez, 20, was eastbound on Vineyard Drive, said Cmdr. Ray Reyna Jr.

He said the Honda collided with a green Ford Ranger driven by Greggory Johnson, 56, traveling southbound on Stonewood Drive, causing the truck to roll over.

"We received reports that the Honda was going fast and had brake problems," Reyna said. "At first we thought (the truck) didn't turn over because it was on its wheels, but the investigation determined it rolled."

Reyna said Johnson was taken to Memorial Hospital Los Banos with complaints of pain and cuts on his head. Johnson also had a 19-year-old passenger who suffered a fractured leg and was taken by ambulance to a Turlock hospital. Police did not release the name of the 19-year-old.

Reyna said the accident remains under investigation.
