The Los Banos FFA Chapter celebrates National FFA Week Saturday through Feb. 23.
This year's theme is "Grow," and it celebrates more than 80 years of FFA traditions while eagerly anticipating the future.
More than 550,000 members nationwide from rural, suburban and urban areas will participate in National FFA Week activities at local, state and national events.
FFA members are the innovators and leaders of tomorrow.
"Through agricultural education and hands-on learning, they are preparing for the more than 300 career opportunities in the food, fiber and natural resources industry," according to a news release.
National FFA Week is sponsored by Tractor Supply Co.
Los Banos FFA members will celebrate by participating in the following activities and dress-up days: Tuesday is boot day and roping competitions at break; Wednesday is hat day and potato sack races at break; Thursday is FFA apparel day and volleyball games later that evening; and Friday is FFA jacket day with classroom presentations about the agricultural industry.
