Triathlon planned at Pacheco High

Pacheco High's water polo and track teams will host a triathlon March 23 to go along with the school's annual spring fair. There will be a short course (3-mile run, 10-mile bike ride and 400-yard swim) and a long course (6-mile run, 20-mile bike ride and 800-yard swim).

The run and bike portions will be flat road course, and the swim will be at Pacheco's pool.

Entry fee is $20 for short course or $30 for long course. Registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on March 21. To enter, visit www.active.com and search Pacheco.

The race-day schedule will consist of check-in and late registrations at 8 a.m., race start at 9 a.m. and awards at 1 p.m.
