List of city closures during holidays

Los Banos city offices will be closed Monday, Tuesday, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 in observance of the holidays.

Uniformed police operations and emergency dispatch will operate as usual, but the Los Banos Police Department front office, 945 Fifth St., will be closed Monday, Tuesday, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. All emergencies should be directed to 911, but other calls should go to (209) 827-7070.

City firefighters will be on duty through the holidays, but the Fire Station No. 1 front office, 333 Seventh St., will be closed Monday, Tuesday, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. All emergencies should be directed to 911, but other calls should go to (209) 827-7025.

Allied Waste does not plan a designated Christmas tree pickup. Natural trees must be cut into small enough pieces to fit into the green waste can. Flocked trees, which are covered in artificial snow, must be cut up and put in the gray trash bin.

Since Christmas and New Year's Day each fall on a Tuesday, garbage pickup is pushed back one day to Wednesday and each subsequent day through Saturday.
