Fun and games at the Plaza
Youngsters packed Henry Miller Plaza for an alternative to trick-or-treating. The ninth annual Harvest of Fun provided an environment for kids to get plenty of candy without parents worrying about their little ones going door to door. Thirteen churches supplied games, face-painting, hot dogs, candy and music for hundreds of children on Halloween night. Organizer and Pastor Steve Hammond said the baker's dozen of churches were the most ever. At top, Ilana Benson and daughter Danika, 2, of Los Banos buzz around the booths. Inset, Ethan Lopez, 3, of Los Banos tosses bean bags like Batman throws batarangs. Way to go, Ethan!
