Los Banos Chamber dinner is off

The Los Banos Chamber of Commerce board of directors this week canceled the Reader's Choice Banquet planned this month.

President Geneva Brett cited conflicting events and a lack of ticket sales as the reason for cancellation. However, the votes have been tabulated and the Top 10 nominees are posted at www.losbanosenterprise.com.

The 51 framed award certificates will be delivered by Enterprise Publisher Gene Lieb to winners no later than Nov. 2.

Brett said the banquet will return next year at a date to be determined.
