FFA members learn about fire extinguishers

October 5, 2012

On Sept. 12, the Los Banos Fire Department came to Pacheco High School for a fire demonstration.

They taught us how to properly put out a fire with a fire extinguisher using the term P.A.S.S (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, and Sweep). They also taught us to not be the heroes and the get out immediately if there is a fire we cannot handle.

The firefighters are the heroes, not us. Thank you Los Banos Fire Department firefighters Eric Gallichio and Eddie Vierra for teaching us valuable, and possibly life saving, lessons. We would also like to thank Assistant Chief Tim Marrison and MaryLou Gilardi for helping us plan out the day.
