Teen stabbed, robbed in Los Banos

A confrontation between rival gang members left a teen stabbed and robbed Sunday, police said.

The Los Banos Police Department responded to the 1200 block of Fourth Street at 2:27 a.m. after receiving a report of a stabbing.

Officers encountered an 18-year-old male suffering from multiple stab wounds to his legs.

According to police, the victim was walking with friends when rival gang members approached them and began shouting gang-related phrases. The victim was assaulted by several males, who stabbed and robbed him, police said. Law enforcement is not disclosing what items the suspects took from the teen.

He was airlifted to a Modesto hospital and was treated for his injuries and released.
