Correction

Two stories in the Sept. 21 Enterprise, headlined "Council gives OK to pursue bypass right of way" and "Poverty rates soar in Valley amid downturn," did not accurately refer to fees not charged to new businesses in Los Banos.

Regional Transportation Impact Fees, which are pooled and controlled by the Merced County Association of Governments, have not been charged to commercial or industrial developers who have pulled building permits in Los Banos since January.
