Arrest made in downtown burglaries
By Corey Pride / Cpride@losbanosenterprise.com
Police have announced they have a suspect in custody they believe is responsible for burglarizing a downtown photo business.
On Friday the Los Banos Police Department pursued charges of commercial burglary, grand theft and possession of stolen property against Jason Young, 39, of Los Banos. Young was already in custody at the John Latorraca Correctional Facility for violation of probation conditions. He is being held without bail.
Police said Young is suspected in the Sept. 5 burglary of One Hour Photo & Sign Solutions in the 1000 block of Sixth Street. Police responded to the business Sept. 6 after the owners arrived in the morning and discovered a break-in, police said. Detectives began investigating and subsequently identified Young as the suspect in the case, police said.
A camera valued at $800 was recovered by police and identified by the business owners as having been stolen during the burglary.
