For the second time in a month, a home was shot at in Los Banos, and police are asking for the public's help in finding the perpetrator.

Law enforcement responded to a report of a shooting in the 1300 block of El Cajon Lane at 7:20 p.m. Monday.

Officers discovered that several shots had been fired into a home and a nearby vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Police said witnesses observed a dark-colored compact vehicle leaving the area after the shooting.

Cmdr. Ray Reyna Jr. said police have not declared the incident gang-related.

The shooting was the second of its kind in the city this month.

On Aug. 13, a home was shot at in the 700 block of Colorado Avenue. Reyna said the police have not determined whether the incidents are related.
