Police short on information
By COREY PRIDE
Police have few details about a physical altercation that left two men with stab wounds Sunday night.
Cmdr. Ray Reyna Jr. said police responded to the 2300 block of Cool Springs Court at 8:30 p.m. after receiving a report of two men being injured during a fight that involved several males.
Police arrived on the scene and found the two men, 24 and 28, with multiple wounds. One of the males was stabbed several times in his upper chest and Reyna categorized the other as suffering from "minor scratches" to his body.
Reyna said he did not know if the man with more severe injuries was the 28-year-old or 24-year-old.
The man who was stabbed in his upper chest was airlifted to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. He was in stable condition at press time on Monday. He was expected to be released soon.
The other man was treated on Sunday at Memorial Hospital, Los Banos and released.
Immediately after the fight the men were too drunk to tell police what happened, according to Reyna.
"Our detectives are following up on this (case), but (the victims) were intoxicated and could not tell us what happened," he said.
