A Los Banos man was shot in a gang-related incident last week, police said.
Law enforcement responded to a shooting on the 900 block of Ash Avenue on Dec. 1 at 9:59 p.m. Officers spoke with a 32-year-old victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his neck and leg.
The victim told police a man shot at him and then got into a light colored small truck and fled.
A 30-year-old man, who is related to the victim, followed the suspect in his vehicle and noticed three Hispanic males in the truck. Police said the man rammed the suspects vehicle several times, attempting to disable the truck.
Nevertheless, police said, the suspects got away.
The suspects truck was last seen traveling south on Center Avenue, south of Pioneer Road. The truck sustained body damage.
The victim was airlifted to a Modesto area hospital and is reportedly in stable condition.
Detectives believe this incident is gang related.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Detective Justin Melden at (209) 827-7070 ext. 114 or leave an anonymous tip on the city website at www.losbanos.org
