Keith Snow: City operations are poor
I watch City Council meetings on the computer. Sometimes the picture is black or the sound doesn't work when the picture does. It needs to be fixed.
The city operations are poor. Fast growth and they can't handle it. It's unbalanced as stated by council member Elizabeth Stone during the Nov. 16 meeting.
What I've been seeing for years in our city before I moved is an endless cycle of public servants in charge of decisions that hurt the taxpayer.
There are poor judgments being made such as the high rates for water and garbage. Now they want to charge solicitors for an application and Life Scan and background checks. It's a joke.
I feel business owners are being pushed away from the city as it's not an inviting environment. Avon has been around for years. Council member Joe Sousa said it best when he said it's not a safety issue, but rather a city issue that needs to be fixed.
