Rosemary Kitchen: No easy answer for abandoned carts

Alady wrote last week in regard to shopping carts left all over town. I heartily agree that it is an "eyesore."

I am concerned with the moral issue. Do the children of the parents taking the carts away from the store think it is OK as long as it is left in front of a neighbor's house? Would it be OK for him or her to take a bicycle to ride, as long as it was left in an empty lot?

I don't know the answer. Is it education of parents, of children or of workers at the stores who surely see the carts leaving their property? This is a problem that is getting worse. There must be a solution.
