The Los Banos Police Department is investigating its second shooting in a four-day span.

Officers responded to the 700 block of Fairmont Drive at 9:31 p.m. and found a 19-year-old male with a gunshot wound in his back on Tuesday.

The victim was flown to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto. He is in stable condition and is expected to survive. Police said it's unclear if the incident was gang related.

Police are searching for a dark colored sedan seen leaving the area, although it's unclear if the occupants of the car were involved.

The incident comes after two men were the victims of a gang-related shooting on Overland Avenue Saturday night. In that incident police located an 18-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm and a 21-year-old male who was shot in the face. Both victims were airlifted to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto and are in stable condition, police said.

Detectives reportedly located several bullet casings in the area and are continuing to investigate the incident's gang connections. Police have not released a description of a suspect.

Anyone with information regarding either incident is asked to contact Det. Justin Melden at (209) 827-7070 ext 114 or Det. Jacob Bento at (209) 827-7070 ext. 115. Also an anonymous tip can be left on the city website at www.losbanos.org.
