Agents with the Merced/Mariposa High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force responded to a house in the 15000 block of Henry Miller Road, searching for suspect John Soares, 48.

The agents found a small marijuana grow of less than 15 plants and a quarter ounce of meth, but Soares wasn't at the scene, according to deputy Tom MacKenzie, sheriff's spokesman.

Agents visited two other houses in the 14000 block of McDonald Avenue, allegedly connected to Soares' house. Donald Deaver, 48, a convicted felon, was arrested at one of the houses for allegedly possessing two shotguns and a .22 caliber rifle.

At the second home, agents found Christopher Pearson, 26, wanted for burglary and attempted burglary. Also at the house was parolee Tiffany Bray, 27, released from state prison nine days ago. Bray was on parole for burglary.

Agents found guns at the house, a violation of her parole. She was booked on suspicion of a parole violation and is being held without bail.

Soares turned himself in and was booked on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. He was released after posting $10,000 bail.

Pearson was booked on being a convicted felon in possession of ammo and guns, a felony warrant for stealing a car and also two Madera warrants for spousal abuse and failing to appear. He's being held in lieu of $73,000 bail.
