Anonymous tip leads to drug-related arrest of a local man

Methamphetamine possession alleged

The Los Baños Police Department made an arrest Wednesday after a citizen tipped off police that a local resident was allegedly involved in criminal activity.

At 2:26 p.m. law enforcement arrested Angel Rosario, 33, on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. The arrest took place at a residence on the 500 block of Fairmont Drive.

Police were acting on a lead from their anonymous tipline.

Rosario is currently in Merced County Jail on two alleged felony counts, possession of narcotics and possession of a controlled substance. Rosario's bail has been set at $10,000, a Merced County Jail spokeswoman said.
