A teenager was beaten up by four people and robbed at the Ag Sports Complex early Sunday morning, police said.
Sgt. Elias Reyes said officers responded to the 800 block of La Mesa Lane at about 3 a.m. They found a 15-year-old boy who had regained consciousness after being knocked out. He was also possibly suffering from a broken jaw, police said.
"He said he had been at the Ag Sports Complex smoking cigarettes when four males approached him," Reyes said. "They asked him if he was in a gang, basically they said, 'Do you bang?'"
Reyes said the 15 year old was kicked and punched and his cell phone and pullover sweatshirt were stolen.
The teen was transported to Memorial Hospital Los Baños where he was treated for his injuries.
He told police two of his assailants were wearing ski masks, but the others were Hispanic juveniles who were about 5-feet-9-inches tall with thin builds.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is strongly encouraged to contact the Los Baños Police Department at 827-7070. To leave an anonymous crime tip call, (209) 827-7070 ext. 288.
