To minimize classroom disruptions, Los Ba&#241;os High School will not accept any Valentine's Day related deliveries at the school during the week of Feb. 8. The school understands that many of us are accustomed to sending our loved ones balloons, flowers, and other tangible expressions of our feelings during Valentine's Day. The school encourages those wishing to do so to send their gifts to their loved ones on Valentine's Day, Sunday, Feb. 14.</p><p>Tri-tip for Charleston</p><p>Charleston Elementary School is hosting a tri-tip drive-through dinner on Feb. 8 at the D.E.S. Hall from 4-7 p.m. Dinner tickets are $25, which are available at the drive-through, and includes a tri-tip, beans, roll and salad. Proceeds go to the school's sixth-grade Yosemite trip. For more information contact Debra at 826-3090.</p><p>Attention cancer survivors</p><p>The American Cancer Society's Relay For Life of Los Ba&#241;os will be having a Cancer Survivor Breakfast. Chairpersons are honoring cancer survivors and one caregiver each to a free pancake breakfast with pancakes, eggs, a breakfast meat, coffee, juice and milk. All friends, families and everyone else is invited to join in for a donation of $5 per person. It will be at the United Methodist Church at 1031 Iowa in Los Ba&#241;os from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Feb. 20. This is the first year of honoring survivors in this manner. Chairpersons are hoping the change brings all of our survivors out to have a good time and mingle with old and new friends.</p><p>District registration</p><p>Kindergarten and preschool registration for the upcoming 2010-2011 school year is scheduled for March 1-5. Parents are to register their children at the school in their attendance area, or at the school where a sibling attends. Parents may also choose Westside Union Elementary School, an open enrollment traditional calendar site.
