CHOWCHILLA -- Los Ba&#241;os High graduate Rubal Sangha was back on the field during the 24th Annual Chowchilla Rotary North/South All-Star Football Game Friday night after missing the Lions All-Star game the week before.</p><p>Sangha, along with another former standout Tiger, Jake Barcellos, both scored touchdowns as head coach Dennis Stubbs and the North won, 36-14.</p><p>The North had built a 16-7 lead when the "Showman" got in on the act.</p><p>Sangha hauled in a 14-yard touchdown pass from Buhach Colony's Kyle Davey to extend the North lead to 22-7 late in the first half.</p><p>"I made an inside move and my guy completely stopped," said Sangha, who is headed to Butte JC in the fall. "I don't know what happened.</p><p>"I don't know if he slipped or if he was playing a cover-two."</p><p>Los Ba&#241;os' Barcellos was in the right place at the right time and pounced on a muffed punt in the end zone for another North score in the third quarter.</p><p>By that time, the game was out of reach.</p><p>Central Valley graduate Trevor Mew hooked up with Chowchilla's Kyle Espinola for a 55-yard scoring strike to put the North ahead 36-7 with 4:53 left in the third quarter.</p><p>It was a night where the North didn't do much wrong.</p><p>"Our O-line did a great job of protecting early and it allowed us to get the ball to our weapons," said Los Ba&#241;os coach Dennis Stubbs, the North coach.</p><p>"We were able to spread the ball around pretty well."</p><p>Chowchilla High graduate Fred Gaines (Cal Poly) had two of the North's five interceptions. Merced High graduate Bernard Bolden had an interception as well.</p><p>For Gaines, it was one last chance to show off his talents on his old field.</p><p>"It felt good to show our fans what I can do one more time," he said. </p><p>Gaines wasn't the only one to put on show.</p><p>The North had plenty of stars.</p><p>The scoring onslaught started early when Mew hooked up with Golden Valley graduate Adrian Abarca on a 23-yard touchdown with 10:39 left in the first quarter.</p><p>This was the second all-star win in as many weeks for coach Stubbs & Co.</p><p>Shawn Jansen of the Merced Sun-Star and John-Joel Griffiths of the Los Ba&#241;os Enterprise contributed to this report.
