Letter to the Editor: It's a bad general plan

Our city planners have acquiesced to the avaricious building cartel.

The devastating 2030 population forecast is a staggering 90,400. By comparison, the last time I looked we had approximately 36,000 existing residents.

This astronomical projection chooses to ignore these side effects. It will decimate what's left of our intimate, pristine community.

In the past this, growth at any cost, has in large measure lead to our hundreds of foreclosures and ramped depreciation of existing home values. All in the interest of rapacious vendors.

The long term effect associated with the influx of approximately 55,000 new residents speaks for itself. Imagine the traffic, the crime and impacted schools.

If the council accepts this General Plan it's time for a "meaningful" recall.
