A's knock off AA Brewers in Round 1

The Los Baños AA A's edged out the AA Brewers in the first round of the Los Baños Little League AA Minors Tournament on Monday, 3-2, at Colorado Park.

The A's then had to bump heads on Thursday with the tournament's No. 1 seed in the Orioles, who finished the season with a 15-0-1 record.

However, the results were not available for press time for that winner's bracket matchup.

The Brewers, who are seeded fourth in this double-alimination tournament, fell to 6-9-1 overall after the loss.

The Brewers are now facing elimination on Saturday at 9 a.m. at Colorado Park's Field No. 3.

The Brewers will matchup against the loser of Thursday's meeting between the Dodgers and the Marlins.

Again, results from Thursday's games were not available for press time.

The winner of the A's and the Orioles will clinch a berth into the semis on Wednesday at 7 p.m., while the loser will have to play the winner of the Brewers and Dodgers/Marlins game on Saturday.
