TURLOCK -- The 41st Annual Ken Anderson Golf Tournament held at the Turlock Golf & Country Club last Friday was an overall success, according to event coordinator Rusty Connell.
"It was a decent tournament," Connell said. "We had a few people that didn't play because of high school graduations, but next year there won't be any graduations on this same weekend.
"We still had a good turnout and good participation. A lot of people who play in it look forward to playing in it every year, and it seemed to go very well."
The golf tournament was two-man, best-ball, and Rob Parreira and Reed Finch won the first flight with a 57.
Steve Patricio and Garrett Patricio finished second with a 60. Mike Willis and Mike Hansen, along with Tom Teixeira and Vance Eggleston tied for third with 62s.
On the second flight, Mike Keys and Carl Henlen won with a 56. Dave Cardoza and Chris Gueder were second with a 58.
Dennis Soares and Dan Fialho of Los Baños shot a 60 in the second flight, which was tied for third with Walt DeBruyn and Stan Columbo.
In the Callaway flight, Larry Kipp and Bart Pecchenino finished first with a 67. Herky Gonsalves and Chris Bettencourt finished second with a 71, while Chuck Kassis and Rich Lange was third with a 71 as well.
Paul Clarot and Brad Kessler finished fourth with a 72.
