<b>Local racers</b></p><p>The home of Central California's Motorized Racing held its 'welcome back' event at the Merced Speedway on Saturday in Merced. In addition to the first Saturday night race, the speedway also hosted its annual Easter egg hunt for children, 10 and under. </p><p>In the Hobby Stocks main event, Los Ba&#241;os' Ralph Hayes and David Affonso earned a sixth and eighth place finish on Saturday. </p><p>In the Hobby Stocks trophy dash, Affonso and Hayes also came in second and third place for Los Ba&#241;os.</p><p>Wes Kanawyer of Los Ba&#241;os came in 10th place in the Street Stocks main event on Saturday.</p><p>The next race for CCMR will be held at Chowchilla Fairgrounds Speedway today, featuring IMCA Modified, Hobby Stocks, IMCA Sport Compact and Street Stocks.</p><p><i>- Samantha Salas</i>
