In the Aug. 8 sports section of The Los Baños Enterprise, Tigers' traveling team coach Charlie Pikas was quoted incorrectly in the story 'Tigers end season with fifth-place finish.' Pikas said the girls of the team really came together and played some terrific softball, as opposed to the published 'terrible' softball.
The Twin Tigers Kung Fu Studio sent some of its best to a recent three-day Martial Arts Tournament in Long Beach last weekend.
The Tigers' 16 and under traveling softball team ended their summer season with an Amateur Softball Association 18 and under "B" class fast pitch tournament, one of which the team had to qualify for during their regular season. After returning from Aurora, Colorado last week for the Western National Championships, the Tigers came home with a 5th place finish out of 16 teams.
Coaches Rodd Welch and Mike Wilson are hoping to help their Los Baños Xtreme Little League traveling team gain sponsorships to help with tournament fees. Since starting in July, Xtreme has brought a 10 and under Dos Palos Tournament Championship Title home and hopes sponsors can help bring in more.
What started as an 8th grade hobby has carried him through his first two years of college. And if all goes to plan, Mark Walsh Jr. of Dos Palos will keep his passion and hobby of football a part of his life well into the professional level.

It was a great season for second-time head coach Drew Guintini and his team of Tiger Sharks. And for the second year in a row with Guintini as head coach, the team came through with a first place win at their championships, leaving Coach Drew proud of their accomplishments and wanting to return for his third year next summer.

The Tiger Fun Run made its debut at the 5th Annual Children's Health and Safety Fair last weekend, and coordinator and head cross country coach Mark Ramirez said for being the first time that the Fun Run has been scheduled, things turned out fairly well.
