A man was arrested Monday night on charges of tampering with a vehicle at an auto mechanic shop, police said. The Los Banos Police Department responded to a mechanic shop in the 2500 Block of East Pacheco Boulevardat 11:32p.m. regarding a suspicious vehicle on the property. Officer Vanus Warren spokewiththe 64-year-old property owner. Police said the the man toldWarrenheobserveda 1991 GMC Jimmy SUV and a male near his business. The man told police he believed someone was hiding on the property. Officers searched the area and found Justin Perdew, 25, ofMidPines,hiding near a vehicle. Police said they discovered lug nuts on the ground next to Perdew. They belonged to a vehicle parked on the lot, police said. Perdew also had tools toremovethelugnuts,police said. | Full Story
