Future business leaders attend national conference

Event was held in Atlanta, Ga.

Los Baños High School Future Business Leaders of America members Gene Lieb, Cody Nunes and Allyssa Wright along with adviser Robert A. Franklin attended the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Atlanta, Georgia June 25-30, 2008.

State winner Gene Lieb competed in the Job Interview event and Cody Nunes tested his skills in the Future Business Leader competition. While neither member made it to the finals, both of them gained valuable experience in their respective areas.

In the meantime, Allyssa Wright represented California FBLA as the Central Section President. She presided at all the California delegation meetings and attended several workshops and campaign meetings.

Besides the many activities at the conference, there was still spare time to see the sights of Atlanta. The main attraction downtown was the Coca-Cola visitor's center. The highlight of the tour was the taste testing room. Here visitors got to sample Coke products from around the world. It was very interesting to see their reactions to the different flavors Coke makes in the different countries.

It was a great conference and Los Baños Future Business Leaders would like to thank the community for its continued support to send these students to this conference.
